Staged as a design competition for the community of Naples, Four Corners explores the relationship between pedestrian tendencies, vehicular traffic, and the surrounding environment.

 

An included water feature provides excitement and acts as a destination for visitors while enhancing the sense of place for Four Corners. An elevated pedestrian overpass is located just north of the Four Corners intersection. The character of the overpass expands the design elements displayed by the fountain.

 

A pedestrian corridor provides adequate space for open-air markets and temporary expositions for the Naples community. This corridor also provides a connection within the surrounding district. Complete with lighting, signage, seating, and special paving, this area becomes the spine of pedestrian movement.
